CORPORATE RIGHTS [and our communities]
From the Community Environmental Legal Defense Fund
“I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country.” — Thomas Jefferson, 1816
“In 1819 in Dartmouth College v. Woodward, the U.S. Supreme Court introduced a distinction between the rights of a public corporation and a private one. The U.S. Constitution’s contract clause did not protect the political powers granted in the charter of a public corporation such as a municipality. State legislatures could, therefore, unilaterally amend or revoke municipal charters and strip a city of authority without the municipality’s consent. But the charter of a private corporation, such as a business enterprise or a privately endowed college, was an inviolate grant of property rights guaranteed by the nation’s Constitution.” — Jon C. Teaford, Municipal Charters
The structure of federal and state law – both statutory and constitutional – empowers corporations to override local democratic decision making.
Since the early 1800s, corporations have gained rights and protections under the United States Constitution. While we never find the word “corporation” in the Constitution, corporations are able to invoke constitutional “rights” and protections under the Commerce Clause and Contracts Clause, as well as under the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Fourteenth Amendments.
THE MOST SIGNIFICANT ACTION WE CAN TAKE TO PROTECT OUR PLANET IS TO PUT AN END TO CORPORATE GLOBALIZATION – AND RETURN TO LOCALIZATION!
Localization (yes) versus globalization (no)
Helen Norberg Hodge explains the huge problems with globalization and its horrific impact on real people.
The Economics of Happiness describes a world moving simultaneously in two opposing directions. On the one hand, an unholy alliance of governments and big business continues to promote globalization and the consolidation of corporate power. At the same time, people all over the world are resisting those policies, demanding a re-regulation of trade and finance—and, far from the old institutions of power, they’re starting to forge a very different future. Communities are coming together to re-build more human scale, ecological economies based on a new paradigm – an economics of localization.

The following is the current path we are on. The globalists call their plan “interdependence”. It is the formula for tyranny as well as economic and environmental devastation. Under their plan long distance transport is essential because no nation would be allowed to be independent or locally sustainable.
Henry Kissinger (Rockefeller oil cartel toady and globalist) stated the following plan for global tyranny in 1973:
“Who controls the food supply controls the people; who controls the energy can control whole continents; who controls money can control the world.”
AMERICA LOVES PEACE? ODD, SINCE WE’RE ALWAYS AT WAR
At some point we have to ask ourselves why we are more loyal to the political parties and their candidate’s lies than we our to our sons and daughters.
It is long past time to recognize that our so-called leaders have been waging war across the planet almost non-stop since WWII. And every time you we go to the polls and vote for yet one more war monger, we are sending the message that it is OK with us. And where are the environmentalists? Nothing does more environmental damage than The Military’s War on Earth.
We should be marching in the streets demanding that all of this carnage stop. Or better yet, we should be shunning the folks in Washington, District of Criminals until they declare peace and bring our sons and daughters home.
THE LIGHT BULB CONSPIRACY
Here is more evidence of the corporate – not customer – role in the waste of resources and the creation of pollution. To lay the blame at the feet of humanity, corporate perception managers changed the term “customer” to “consumer”. They also like to blame overpopulation, when in actuality the “growth” paradigm is a critical part of our Federal Reserve created fiat money system. See: Money as Debt
Today we posted a new page – Smart Meters – highlighting excellent research done by many others. This issue will eventually impact us all.

Information about the problems with Smart Meters
The ‘justification’ for these dangerous meters is energy savings, and there is absolutely no proof that they will do anything to save energy, as electrician Walter McGinnis explained.
Some folks even ‘believe’ that Smart Meters are a way to fight man-made global warming. This is utter nonsense. Most of these people are unaware of exactly who/what is behind man-made climate change. Brooks Agnew explains how our weather is currently being manipulated by HAARP technology.
Dr Brooks Agnew explains the history and capabilities of HAARP on Coast to Coast AM
Smart Meters won’t put a dent in ‘climate change’, they will only make us ill.
Anything you and I do to alter our personal habits cannot make up for the current environmental destruction that is ongoing by the War Machine.
The military’s war on the Earth
“Use as many low-energy lightbulbs as you like, turn down the thermostat and drive a hybrid car, but whatever you do as an individual — indeed, the sum of what we all do for the environment — does almost nothing to alleviate the U.S. military’s destruction of the earth.”
It is time we educate ourselves and OPPOSE Smart Meters.
